Future diary starts like a normal rom-com anime, but soon after it becomes a bloodbath as the battle royal starts.
It slowly shows that Yuno Gasai, is more than a stalker, as they reveled that she already played this game before, and in the end Killed Yukiteru and became a god, and then she went back in time, killed her past self and took her place, and started the cycle all over again, just so she can be with Yukiteru.
I would have said its romantic, if she hadn’t killed him before.
Honestly, i loved this show, when i watched it i didn’t know it was R-rated, but as i watched it i figure it out.
I loved that surprise when it turns out Yuno is a God, since i never saw it coming.
I hated that Yukiteru went into depression because she died, i know he loves her, but com’on you are a god, and in hundreds – or thousands i don’t clearly remember the last episode – of years later, and he still hasn’t move on? She tried to kill you man.
SO basically what i am saying is, if you love a good psychological anime, have no problem with r-rated content, and don’t mind yandera girls, then you will enjoy this show, i did, even though the last episode was not my favorite.
Also, it has 26 episodes, so it’s pretty long for average anime.
